It’s easy to forget other mobile devices exist when Apple kicks off pre-orders for a highly anticipated product like the iPhone XR, but today is actually the official US release day of the Android-powered LG V40 ThinQ as well.

At least technically, because in reality, T-Mobile has begun shipping pre-ordered units a little while ago, whereas Verizon jumped the gun with an October 18 start of sales. Big Red was also the first carrier to realize the V40 ThinQ is a tough sell at well over $900, offering a cool $200 discount right off the bat with monthly installment plans.
