Back in July, when Microsoft unveiled its “smallest and most affordable Surface yet”, we were told to expect an LTE model “later this year” in addition to a pair of Wi-Fi-only configurations. 

A lengthy wait ensued, but those looking to purchase a compact Windows 10 tablet with an optional keyboard and Surface Pen, as well as blazing fast connectivity on the fly, for Christmas should turn their frown upside down.
