Comcast's Xfinity Mobile is an MVNO that uses Verizon's wireless 4G LTE network. To help it sign up customers (at last count it has 1.5 million of them since starting service in 2017), the cable company wanted to offer the Apple iPhone. Comcast wanted to offer the handset so badly, it agreed to sell thousands of Apple iPad tablets as part of the deal. Whether it's an attempt to meet its contractual obligations with Apple, or because Father's Day is this Sunday, Xfinity Mobile is taking up to $360 off the price of the iPad in the form of monthly bill credits.
