Google has some grand ideas in mind for its AI-powered Google Assistant. Remember the appointment setting Duplex feature? Last we heard, a quarter of Duplex calls are actually initiated by humans. So there is a long way to go before Duplex becomes as seamless as it appeared when Google first introduced it at Google I/O in 2018.
